Korpijärvi has its own campsite for caravans and campers, the camping area of Tommolansalmi Holiday Centre.

The resort is about 200 km from Helsinki, so the Korpijärvi area is an excellent first stop in the Lakeland Finland region.

If you want to explore sights in our region, for example the Repovesi National Park, it is advisable to stop at Lake Korpijärvi for at least a couple of days.

In the Korpijärvi area you can also stay in a tent freely in nature.

For more information and tips on camping in nature, please visit this site: (see especially Hiking in Finland).

If you stay in a tent in Korpijärvi, stay far enough away from houses and holiday cottages. Private cottage owners own most of the lake’s shore areas.

Open: Campsite open from May to late autumn, holiday cottages for rent all year round

Our camping area is located along highway 15, in a beautiful pine forest, right on the shore of Lake Korpijärvi.

Tommolansalmi is known for its tranquil surroundings and peace of nature.

Our family business has been offering holiday cottages, camping and restaurant services in the same area for over 40 years.

Our campsite has 26 electrified pitches for campers and caravans. We also have many pitches without electricity for campers and caravans and for tents. Those staying in the tent can also book electrified pitches if there are free pitches.

NB! Electrified pitches are quickly filled in the summer, so it is advisable to book a pitch in advance in our booking system if possible.

All pitches are in the peace of the forest, either on a crushed ground or in a forest landscape. Nearly all pitches have a view of the lake and some pitches are right on the shore of Lake Korpijärvi.

The services of our camping area include a new modern service building with modern toilets, toilet and shower for the disabled / family shower, changing table for babies and other children’s equipment, a washing machine, a water point and chemical toilet disposal point for campers and caravans.

In addition, we have an outside kitchen building, heated shower rooms, a hut, a barbecue area, a lean-to and a campfire site, and two saunas on the beach – an electric sauna and a traditional heated wood sauna.

Our summer restaurant is open from the end of May to the end of August from morning until evening. We serve local food, barbecue food, self-made pastries and a variety of savory delicacies.

In addition, we have three year-round holiday cottages and three smaller summer cottages for rent in summer, which are particularly suitable for short-term accommodation, for example for hikers.

We also have a wide range of activities especially for families with children and those who want to be in nature, such as children’s play areas and the possibility of renting bicycles, boats, sup boards and canoes. Most of our activities are free, such as indoor and outdoor games that can be borrowed.
