Partakoski rapids and marina
Partakoski is a clean and clear water area between Lake Saimaa and Lake Kuolimo, close to the Kärnäkoski fortress area.
Partakoski rapids may not freeze even in winter, and different birds can be spotted in the area. The area is a popular spot for photographers.
There is also a Prince’s House built by Prince A. Barjatinsky in the area, as well as a Partaranta village shop, a restaurant and a marina with services in the summer (Partakoskentie 971, 54800 Savitaipale).
The actual area is just a short distance from the village shop, along the way north. You should preferably leave your car at the Partaranta store.
