In Savitaipale you should head to three different destinations: either in the vicinity of the city center for a day-trip to the Lepänkanto hiking area, where you will find a historic hiking trail Traces of the Ice Age and a historic residence or to Orrainpolu to the north of Savitaipale. You can also visit the historic fortress of Kärnäkoski and rapids of Partakoski.
