Vanonen summer market and summer cafe
Vanonen summer market is open on Saturdays in the summer. Coffee, local summer specialties, vegetables, berries, bread and handicrafts are on sale. The products are popular, so if you want to buy them, you should go to the marketplace as soon as the market opens.
In the summer, Vanonen Village Association also organizes, for example, auctions, flea markets and other events. You can find up-to-date information by following the Facebook pages of Vanonen summer market.
The area’s car park is really small, so you can leave the car next to the road.
Opposite the market, along Suolahdentie, there is a Vanonen beach house (Vanosen rantamaja in Finnish) (address Suolahdentie 51, 52850 Halmeniemi), which is a gathering place for villagers. There is a Christmas market at Christmas, for example.
Along the same road, there is Halmeniemi’s public beach where you can go swimming, for example, during a bike ride.
