Traces of Ice Age trekking trail

Traces of the Ice Age trail (Jääkauden jäljet) is a hiking and mountain bike trail that runs through Savitaipale’s forest landscapes.

The bike trail starts from the Olkkolanhovi yard, hiking trail from Lepänkanto outdoor area.

Along the trail there is an ancient residence reconstructed in prehistoric style at the Rovastinoja. The resting place has a lean-to, dry toilet and a campfire site.

Difficulty: Moderate, part of the trail is not suitable for young children
Equipment: Hiking boots, rain gear in the rain, campfire equipment
Please note: The area is a protected area, so respect the nature. You can’t use prams or pushchairs in the nature trails.
